3. When was the Race to Zero campaign official?

The international campaign “Race to Zero” or Race to Zero, was made official on June 5, 2020, within the framework of World Environment Day. Its purpose is to mobilize the leadership and support of an imported number of companies, cities, regions and investors “for a healthy, resilient and carbon-free recovery that creates jobs, unlocks inclusive and sustainable growth and reduces the risk of future shocks ”, according to the UNFCCC page, titled Launch of Race to Zero: climate leadership after COVID-19 framing the new growth agenda for economies, cities, companies and civil society.
