2. Why is COP 23 held in Bonn?

COP23 is the first Conference on Climate Change to have two heads: the German city of Bonn and the Republic of Fiji, which will host and preside over the conference. Bonn is the host city of the UNFCCC, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, and will be provides the physical spaces and other resources for its realization. Fiji is a small Pacific island, located in the Polynesian, and one of the most vulnerable sites in the face of the possible effects of climate change. Fiji takes these threats very really and therefore assumed the presidency of COP23 determined to maintain the drive of the Paris Agreement, adopted in 2015, and implement the reduction of carbon emissions to reduce global warming.
