9. Where and when was the first COP born?

As the supreme organ of the UNFCCC, the COP, the Conference of the Parties, was established to give practical meaning to its main objectives. Among them, the stabilization of concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The first COP was held in Bonn in 1995. Since then COPs are held every year.

Anthropogenic climate change is the variation of climate status attributed to human activity that alters the composition of the atmosphere and has consequences on the entire planet.
