Regarding the Borneo rainforest, unfortunately, there is very little awareness of the disaster or ecological crime that occurred there. In informal surveys we conducted among our friends, most did not even know where the third largest island in the world was. Much less there was a local climate change of enormous dimensions that, according to some experts, is affecting a vast region ranging from Australia to Chile.
Regarding the Amazon, obviously more is known, but few know what is happening right now, partly because information is scarce, but above all because of the lack of interest that the public gives to these issues.
