Could Chile become a Green Hydrogen leader?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To produce significant quantities of green hydrogen, a country must have alternative sources of sustainable energy, such as solar energy or wind energy. For this, in turn, it requires good solar incidence and exceptional wind capacity throughout the year. In this way, that country could have enough clean energy to supply the electrolyzers and become a large producer of green hydrogen. Chile meets all these requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The Atacama Desert, which runs from north to south almost all Chilean geography, has a length of almost 1600 km (distance similar to that between Berlin and Moscow) and a maximum width of 180 km (greater than the widest part of the Amazon River). The Atacama is the driest non-polar desert on Earth. In several of its points, in the northern region, it has the highest solar incidence in the world, ideal for generating electricity through photovoltaic solar panels. This \u201chas positioned Chile as one of the leading countries in the use of solar energy in the planet, thanks to the large number of solar plants that currently exist and others are in the pipeline,\u201d according to Wikipedia.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding wind energy, Chile has exceptional wind capacity, according to the Wind Atlas of the Ministry of National Energy of that country. \u201cChile is one of the main producers in the region, after Brazil and Mexico,\u201d according to the same source.<\/p>\n<p>The site carbononew.com says in this regard: \u201cSo far, the Andean country has 37 wind turbine plants that deliver clean energy to the National Electric System.
