We are currently in the Holocene, a geological epoch that began about 12 thousand years ago at the end of the W\u00fcrm glaciation, after 60,000 years of ice and snow. Some scientists and researchers maintain that the Holocene has already concluded and has given way to the Anthropocene. This new epoch, also named as the “Human Epoch”, is characterized by the activities of Homo sapiens that began to cause perceptible biological and geophysical changes on our planet.<\/p>\n<\/div>
